Google has started rolling out an updated version of its Gemini app for iOS, introducing a redesigned interface and additional features.
Images shared by users show that the app’s start screen now includes an animated background.
The search text box appears over a visual backdrop, giving the interface a different layout compared to earlier versions.
The update also expands the functionality of the plus (+) button. Users can now access a wider range of options, including images, camera input, music, canvas, deep research, guided learning, and a “more uploads” tab.
The “more uploads” section supports files and resources from NotebookLM.
The iOS version includes Liquid Glass-style design elements, with semi-transparent visual components integrated into the interface.
The updated Gemini app UI is currently rolling out to a limited number of iOS users.
Google has not confirmed when the update will reach Android devices or provided a detailed rollout timeline.
