More Android Brands May Be Preparing Wide Foldable Phones

Several smartphone brands are reportedly preparing new wide foldable devices following the recent launch of the Huawei Pura X Max. Speculation has also suggested that Samsung could introduce a similar device alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 later this year.

Meanwhile, Apple is reportedly developing its first foldable iPhone, possibly called the iPhone Ultra, which could launch in September.

Vivo Foldable Leak Details

According to tipster Smart Pikachu, the upcoming Vivo X Fold 6 may include noticeable improvements to crease performance.

The leak claims the device will feature major refinements compared to earlier Vivo foldables, particularly for users interested in larger foldable phones.

The report also suggests Vivo could gradually move its foldable lineup toward wider book-style designs in the future, though it remains unclear whether such a model will launch this year.

Honor Device Also Rumored

Another tipster, Guan Tongxue GiM, claimed that Honor has been working on a wide foldable phone for an extended period.

The leak included an image showing a possible design with a wider form factor, a triple rear camera setup, and a secondary rear display.

According to the report, the device could offer a tablet style experience when unfolded horizontally.

Current rumors suggest the Honor foldable may not launch until the first quarter of 2027.
