The first smartphones with 10,000 mAh batteries are already available from brands such as Honor, vivo, and Realme. Huawei may soon join that group, according to leakster Digital Chat Station.
The leakster claims Huawei has developed a “10,000mAh+++” battery. The exact capacity remains unclear, but the wording suggests that the battery could be larger than 10,000mAh. This would make it one of the biggest battery mainstream phones on the market.
New Battery Material
According to Digital Chat Station, Huawei has developed a new battery material and a new battery system. The leakster said this could allow the company to build a phone with the highest battery capacity in the industry.
Huawei has not yet confirmed the phone or shared official details about its battery capacity.
Current Huawei Battery Leaders
At present, the Nova 15 Max and Enjoy 90 Pro Max have the largest batteries in Huawei’s lineup. Both phones come with 8,500 mAh batteries and support 40W wired charging.
It remains unclear what Digital Chat Station means by “new battery material.” The Enjoy 90 Pro Max already uses Silicon Carbon battery technology, which is also used in the current group of 10,000 mAh smartphones.
More details should surface later on as the launch date of this mysterious big battery phone draws near.
