According to TCL CSOT, the panel reaches a pixel density of 5,131ppi, which the company claims is the highest in the world for this category.

The display features a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels and is designed for lightweight smart glasses, where it can provide AR-style information overlays.

The panel uses Micro LED technology built directly on a silicon substrate. Micro LED displays work similarly to OLED panels because each pixel produces its own light without requiring a backlight.

High-Density OLED Panels

TCL CSOT also introduced what it described as the world’s highest Real RGB G OLED display. The 2.24-inch panel has a pixel density of 1,700ppi and a resolution of 2,600 x 2,784 pixels.

The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate along with microsecond response times, deep contrast, and lower power consumption.

According to the company, the “G” in G OLED refers to the glass substrate used in the panel, while “Real RGB” refers to the use of a full stripe RGB layout.

The company also presented several other XR-focused displays during the event.

These included a 0.28-inch single-chip multi-color Si Micro LED display, a 3.59-inch 1,512ppi XR display paired with cockpit applications, and a 2.48-inch LCD XR display with a 2,200ppi pixel density.
