The 32-year-old brings international experience, having featured in 17 Test matches and 85 T20 Internationals for Pakistan.
Faheem Ashraf was part of Islamabad United in the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11). During the tournament, he also achieved a major milestone by becoming only the second all-rounder in PSL history to score 1,000 runs and take 100 wickets.
Speaking after the move, Ashraf said he was excited to join the English county side.
“I’m delighted to be joining Yorkshire. Many of my fellow Pakistan players have represented the club and have spoken highly of both the environment and the quality of players within the squad,” he said. “I’m really looking forward to arriving at Headingley.”
Yorkshire’s general manager of cricket, Gavin Hamilton, welcomed the signing and highlighted Ashraf’s all-round abilities.
“Faheem is an experienced multi-format player who will be a really valuable addition to the squad,” Hamilton said.
“He brings a great ability to score quick, lower-order runs as well as the skill to make a real impact with the ball.”
Faheem Ashraf becomes the latest Pakistani cricketer to secure a county deal in England ahead of the Vitality Blast.
Earlier this month, emerging mystery spinner Usman Tariq signed with Warwickshire Bears for this year’s Vitality Blast, with the tournament set to begin on May 22.
