HEC Announces GRE Training for Students Seeking Scholarships in US

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has opened applications for GRE General Training under the US-Pak Knowledge Corridor PhD Scholarship Program.

According to HEC, the program is open to outstanding Pakistani and AJK nationals who want to pursue PhD studies in leading US universities under the initiative.

The GRE training will be conducted in Islamabad, Karachi, Quetta, and Lahore.

Applicants must have completed 16 years of education and possess a strong academic record. The age limit is below 40 years for government and public sector faculty members, while applicants from other categories must be below 35 years of age.

The deadline to apply for the training program is June 20, 2026.

HEC further stated that trainees who secure a GRE score of 300 or above may become eligible for ETS fee reimbursement and scholarship consideration for admission to top QS-ranked universities in the United States.

The GRE score requirement is also part of the eligibility criteria for several categories under the US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor scholarship scheme.

The US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor project was launched to expand research collaboration and develop highly qualified scholars who can contribute to Pakistan’s higher education and research sectors after completing their studies.

Interested candidates can submit applications through the official registration link provided by HEC, while additional details are available on the commission’s official website.
