Lenovo Launches IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 With 33 Hour Battery Life

Lenovo has announced the IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 14Q8Y11 for the global market.

The new model is a lightweight convertible laptop based on the ARM platform. Lenovo is positioning it as a battery-focused machine with Snapdragon hardware.

The Lenovo IdeaPad 5 2 in 1 14Q8Y11 uses the 3nm Snapdragon X2 Plus X2P 42 100 processor. The chip has a 6-core CPU and is paired with either 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5X memory.

For storage, Lenovo offers up to 1TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage. The base configuration includes 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

The laptop packs a 60Wh battery. Lenovo says the device can deliver up to 33 hours of usage on a single charge. It charges through a 65W USB-C adapter.

The IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 14Q8Y11 comes with a 14-inch touchscreen display.

Buyers can choose an OLED panel with a 1200p resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, 600 nits HDR peak brightness, and full DCI P3 color coverage.

Lenovo is also offering a more affordable IPS option with the same 1200p resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. However, this version has 400 nits of brightness and 45% NTSC color gamut coverage.

The laptop includes one HDMI port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, two USB-C ports with 65W PD support, two USB-A ports, and a microSD card reader. For wireless connectivity, the device supports up to WiFi 7.

The Lenovo IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 14Q8Y11 starts at $1486 in the UK. In Australia, the starting price is $1577.

Across all regions, the entry-level model includes 16GB of RAM, 512GB of SSD storage, and an IPS display.
