Pakistanis to Hear Hajj Sermon in 3 Local Languages This Year

Pakistani pilgrims and viewers will be able to hear this year’s Hajj sermon in Urdu, Punjabi, and Pashto, as Saudi Arabia expands its multilingual broadcast initiative for the annual address.

The Saudi government has announced that the Hajj sermon will be aired with live translation in 35 major languages spoken around the world, allowing Muslims from different countries to understand the message in their own languages.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the initiative is aimed at delivering the sermon’s message more clearly and effectively to millions of pilgrims and viewers worldwide.

For Pakistanis, the sermon will be available in the country’s national language, Urdu, as well as two widely spoken regional languages, Punjabi and Pashto.

The ministry said the sermon will also be translated into several major international languages, including English, French, Indonesian, Turkish, Persian, Russian, and Chinese, along with others.

Saudi officials stated that modern technology and digital platforms will be used to broadcast the sermon globally, helping millions of Muslims benefit from its spiritual message.

Experts say that presenting the Hajj sermon in multiple languages will help promote Islamic teachings and spread the message of Hajj more widely at the international level.
