A Haval H6GT recently spotted on Pakistani roads sparked speculation that Sazgar Engineering Works was testing the coupe-style SUV for a possible local launch.
However, the company clarified that the spotted vehicle was not an official unit and was instead a privately imported non-custom-paid vehicle. Despite this, Sazgar confirmed that it plans to launch the Haval H6GT plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) in Pakistan later this year.
The company said pricing has not yet been finalized and will depend on the upcoming federal budget. The Haval H6GT is a coupe-style midsize SUV based on the standard Haval H6 platform but features a sportier exterior design, sloping roofline, revised rear styling, and market-specific sporty upgrades.
Internationally, the H6GT is available in petrol and plug-in hybrid variants. Sazgar plans to introduce the 1.5-liter turbo PHEV version in Pakistan. According to international specifications, the H6GT PHEV produces 430 horsepower and 642 Nm of torque, paired with an all-wheel-drive system and a 35.4 kWh battery pack.
The vehicle also offers an electric-only driving range of up to 183 kilometers and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.58 seconds. The H6GT PHEV is expected to position itself as a sportier flagship SUV in Haval’s local lineup as demand for hybrids and plug-in hybrid vehicles continues to grow in Pakistan amid rising fuel prices.
