JazzWorld Introduces Bereavement Leave Policy to Support Employees Through Moments of Loss and Grief

Reinforcing its commitment to employee well-being and a people-first workplace culture, JazzWorld has introduced a new Bereavement Leave Policy aimed at supporting employees through periods of personal loss, grief, and transition.

The policy is designed to provide colleagues with additional time, care, and flexibility during some of life’s most difficult moments, reflecting JazzWorld’s focus on building a workplace grounded in empathy, dignity, compassion, and support.

Under the new policy, employees will be entitled to 10 working days of paid bereavement leave in the unfortunate event of the loss of a spouse. The policy also includes additional support provisions for female employees observing Iddat, including the option to avail work-from-home flexibility for up to 120 calendar days.

The policy applies to all permanent employees across JazzWorld. Applicable salary and benefits will continue during this period, with these provisions being offered over and above existing leave entitlements.

Commenting on the initiative, Tazeen Shahid, Chief People Officer at Jazz, said, “At JazzWorld, we believe a truly people-centric organization is defined not only by how we celebrate achievements together, but also by how we stand beside one another during life’s most difficult moments. Through this policy, we want our colleagues to know that they are supported with compassion, dignity, and care during periods of personal loss and grief.”

JazzWorld’s vision of Better Life for All extends beyond the services it provides and is equally reflected in the culture it continues to build for its people. The initiative forms part of the company’s broader efforts to strengthen employee well-being and evolve people practices centered around empathy, inclusion, and care.
