Govt Schools in Punjab Still Waiting for Summer Camps Notification

The Punjab government has approved the establishment of learning camps during summer vacations to help students continue their education during the break.

However, the School Education Department has yet to issue an official notification regarding summer camps in government schools.

According to the department, authorities will set up 6,060 learning camps in 3,030 selected schools across 12 districts of Punjab. The camps will run from June 2, 2026, to August 7, 2026.

Officials said the learning camps will operate for eight weeks, five days a week, from 7:00 am to 9:30 am.

The School Education Department has directed all CEOs to ensure effective monitoring of the camps, teachers’ attendance, and community mobilization so that maximum students can benefit from the initiative.

Authorities said the program aims to maintain students’ academic engagement and learning continuity during the summer holidays.
