Pakistan Beats 135 Countries to Top Erasmus Mundus Scholarship Rankings for 5th Consecutive Year

Pakistan has once again emerged as the leading recipient of Erasmus Mundus scholarships worldwide, securing the highest number of awards for the fifth consecutive year.

According to the 2026 Erasmus Mundus scholarship results, 98 students from Pakistan have been selected for the prestigious fully funded program, placing the country at the top of the global rankings.

The scholarship program, funded by the European Union through Erasmus+, awarded a total of 1,872 scholarships across 135 countries this year.

Pakistan led the list with 98 scholarship recipients, followed by Bangladesh with 80, India with 75, the United States with 68, and Italy with 67.

This achievement highlights the growing success of Pakistani students in securing international higher education through competitive global scholarships.
