Vivo has quietly launched the V70 Lite, its latest midrange smartphone. The device is now available in the UAE and brings a design and feature set that remains largely similar to its predecessor, with the main upgrade being a higher-clocked chipset.
Compared to the Vivo V70, the V70 Lite has a much lower starting price. Given how quickly the Vivo V70 arrived in Pakistan, it would likely not be long before the Vivo V70 Lite arrives here.
The vivo V70 Lite comes with a 6.77-inch AMOLED display that offers FHD+ (1080p) resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The screen supports up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness. It also includes a punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera and an optical fingerprint scanner, which is a downgrade from the Vivo V70’s ultrasonic sensor.
The phone is available in black and gold color options.
The V70 Lite is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 Turbo chipset, which replaces the Dimensity 7360 SoC used in the V60 Lite
Both chips are largely similar. However, the Dimensity 7400 Turbo has ARM Cortex-A78 performance cores clocked at 2.6 GHz, compared with 2.5 GHz on the Dimensity 7360.
The phone comes with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and offers 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
On the software side, the V70 Lite runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.
The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX882 sensor and an f/1.8 aperture.
It is paired with an 8MP ultrawide camera and loses the telephoto zoom camera found on the regular Vivo V70.
For selfies and video calls, the phone has a 32MP front camera placed inside the display cutout.
The vivo V70 Lite packs a 6,500mAh battery and supports 90W wired charging.
The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version starts at $299. The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at $354.
In comparison, the Vivo V70 had a launch price of around $500 in the global market.
