Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched the SEHR (Skill Enhancement Through Home Reach) Program to help women across Punjab learn modern skills and become financially independent.
Under the initiative, 5,365 women will receive home-based vocational and technical training in different fields, including beautification services, hospitality, and digital technology.
According to officials, the program will cost more than Rs. 970 million and is aimed at developing a skilled female workforce in Punjab.
As part of the program, 2,065 women in four districts will receive beautification training in collaboration with the private sector.
Participants will also be provided with laptops, internet devices, data packages, and a monthly stipend to support their learning from home.
CM Maryam Nawaz extended her best wishes to the women enrolled in the program and those who complete their training. She said women are a valuable asset for Punjab and the government is taking practical steps to create opportunities for their development, financial independence, and dignified employment.
She added that the Punjab government is committed to equipping women with modern technical and vocational skills so they can meet current market demands and contribute to economic growth.
