Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus Temporary Suspension Announced

The Punjab Mass Transit Authority (PMTA) has announced that the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus Service will be suspended after 7:00 p.m. on June 23, 2026, in connection with security and traffic arrangements for 7th Muharram.

According to a public advisory issued by the authority, Metro Bus operations will remain unavailable after the specified time as authorities implement special measures for Muharram processions and gatherings.

The PMTA said temporary route changes and operational adjustments may also be introduced on certain sections of the corridor due to security requirements and traffic management plans.
