The School Education Department has issued strict directives to government schools across the province to ensure pre-monsoon safety measures ahead of the expected rainy season.
According to the department, all school heads and Class IV employees have been directed to remain present during school hours to enable a prompt response to any emergency situation that may arise during monsoon rains.
Under the instructions, school administrations have been asked to conduct detailed inspections of roofs, drainage systems and the overall condition of school buildings. Authorities have also directed schools to assess dilapidated structures and take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of students and teachers.
The department emphasized that all prescribed safety measures must be implemented in letter and spirit throughout the monsoon season.
Officials warned that strict action will be taken against concerned officers and school heads in cases of negligence or failure to comply with the directives.
The School Education Department said the measures are aimed at protecting students, teachers and school property from potential damage during monsoon rains while ensuring the uninterrupted continuation of academic activities.
