The Punjab School Education Department has decided to conduct a written examination for the appointment of head teachers in public schools.
According to the department, the test is being held today under the supervision of the Punjab Examination Commission Testing Agency (PECTA) to ensure merit-based appointments of head teachers.
The department directed authorities to make sure that CCTV cameras are installed at examination centers. It also ordered an uninterrupted power supply during the test and the availability of internet services and tablets.
The School Education Department also instructed all districts to nominate focal persons for coordination with PECTA.
In the official letter, all district authorities were directed to provide full cooperation for the transparent and effective conduct of the examination.
