Fuel Now Rs. 155-200/Litre Cheaper in Pakistan: Petroleum Minister

Federal Minister for Energy (Petroleum) Ali Pervaiz Malik on Saturday defended the government’s fuel pricing policy, saying Pakistan is neither favoring any particular sector nor placing an unfair burden on others.

He said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has so far reduced diesel prices by Rs. 200 per litre and petrol prices by Rs. 155 per litre so far.

In a post on X, the minister shared international Platts benchmark prices for petrol and diesel over the past week and said the government remains committed to passing on any possible relief to consumers while meeting its international obligations.
