The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police has announced a partial revision to its official uniform, making black belts and black shoes mandatory for senior officers from July 1, 2026.
According to an official notification issued by the Inspector General of Police, the new dress code has been approved under Standing Order No. 5/2026.
The updated uniform policy applies to officers holding the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), and above.
Police authorities have directed all relevant offices across the province to implement the revised dress code before it takes effect. Senior officers must comply with the new requirements as part of the official uniform from July 1.
The KP Police said the change is intended to standardise the appearance of senior officers while maintaining a professional and uniform image throughout the force.
