Hot and humid weather continues to grip the city, with the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasting a maximum temperature of 41°C on Sunday.
According to the Met Office, the current temperature stands at 34°C, while the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 32°C. Humidity has been recorded at 52%, and winds are blowing at a speed of 11 kilometres per hour.
The PMD said sunshine and scattered clouds will dominate the sky throughout the day, but no rainfall is expected.
Weather experts have advised residents to avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight during peak afternoon hours and to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
The department has forecast that the monsoon season is likely to begin in the city from July 1, bringing a chance of rainfall and a gradual drop in temperatures.
Authorities have urged citizens to stay updated with the latest weather advisories as conditions may change with the arrival of the monsoon system.
