Pakistan has secured the second and final qualification spot for the Esports Nations Cup 2026 Dota 2 Main Event after defeating India 2–1 in the regional qualifier.
The victory earned Pakistan one of the two available places from the South and East Asia Qualifier for the prestigious tournament, which will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from November 2 to 8, 2026.
Pakistan delivered a strong performance throughout the qualifier and defeated regional rival India in an important lower-bracket match to secure its place at the global event.
The match was played as a best-of-three Dota 2 series between Pakistan and India. Pakistan’s win confirmed its qualification for the main event, where the team will now compete against some of the world’s best Dota 2 teams.
The Pakistani squad includes Yawar as Carry, Ri, Mr.DeviL, Ahsan, Sanity, and coach Tultras, who led the team during the competition.
According to the final standings of the Esports Nations Cup 2026 Dota 2 South and East Asia Qualifier, Mongolia finished first, Pakistan came second, India secured third place, and Bangladesh finished fourth.
The Esports Nations Cup 2026 Dota 2 tournament will feature 32 teams. The teams will compete in four groups of eight, with the top four teams from each group advancing to the playoffs.
Pakistan now joins early qualifiers including the Philippines, Thailand and Mongolia in the Dota 2 competition, where national teams will compete for a share of the $1.5 million prize pool.
Pakistan’s qualification is another important achievement for the country’s growing esports scene. The national team will now move to the international stage after defeating a major regional rival in a decisive qualifier.
