PERA Announces Over 1,000 Jobs Across Punjab

The Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA) has opened applications for more than 1,000 Sergeant posts across Punjab, creating a major opportunity for Intermediate-qualified candidates looking for government jobs.

As per the advertisement, a total of 1,010 Sergeant (BS-07) vacancies are available on a district-cadre basis. Selected candidates can be posted anywhere in Punjab, preferably within their concerned district.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have Intermediate from a recognized Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. The age limit for applicants is 18 to 26 years.

The advertisement clearly states that no relaxation in age, education, or physical standards will be allowed, including for existing government servants. The Punjab Civil Servants Recruitment Rules regarding upper age relaxation will not apply to these posts.

Physical Standards for Male Candidates

Male candidates must meet the following physical standards:

BMI should be 27 or below
Height without shoes must be 173 cm
One-mile running must be completed in 7 minutes

Chest measurement:

Non-expanded: 32 inches
Expanded: 34 inches or above
Minimum 2 inches chest expansion is mandatory

Physical Standards for Female Candidates

Female candidates must meet the following physical standards:

BMI should be 27 or below
Height without shoes must be 162 cm
One-mile running must be completed in 11 minutes
Chest measurement is not applicable
