The Punjab government has extended summer vacations for all non formal schools across the province until July 11 due to continued hot and humid weather.
According to a notification issued by the Directorate General of Literacy and Non-Formal Basic Education on Wednesday, authorities took the decision after considering the difficulties students are facing because of the prevailing weather conditions.
The extension applies to all Non-Formal Basic Education Schools (NFBES), Non-Formal Elementary Education Schools (NFEES), and GPE Taleem Program schools across Punjab.
The notification states that all non-formal schools will reopen on Monday, July 13, 2026. The Directorate has directed all District Education Officers (Literacy) to ensure strict implementation of the order across the province.
