PCB Grants NOCs to 14 Pakistani Cricketers for Overseas Franchise Leagues

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to 14 Pakistani cricketers, allowing them to take part in overseas franchise leagues scheduled later this month.

The PCB granted NOCs to Mohammad Haris, Shahab Khan, Mohammad Naeem, Abdullah Shafique, Farhan Yousaf, Shamyl Hussain, Mehran Mumtaz, Usman Khan, Ali Shabbir, Mohammad Farooq, Mohammad Imran, Mohammad Basit and Khalil Ahmed for the 2026 Global Super League (GSL).

The tournament will be played at Providence Stadium in Providence, Guyana, from July 23 to August 1.

The five-team competition will include three-time Pakistan Super League (PSL) champions Lahore Qalandars, Australia’s Perth Scorchers, the UAE’s Desert Vipers, the USA’s San Francisco Unicorns and Caribbean Premier League (CPL) side Guyana Amazon Warriors.

Lahore Qalandars will begin their campaign against Perth Scorchers on July 23 before facing Desert Vipers on July 24. They will then play Guyana Amazon Warriors on July 26 and complete their league-stage campaign against San Francisco Unicorns on July 29.

Among the players granted NOCs for the Global Super League, Abdullah Shafique, Mohammad Naeem and Mohammad Farooq are set to represent the three-time PSL champions.

The franchise affiliations of the remaining players for the tournament have not yet been officially confirmed by either the PCB or the participating teams.

Meanwhile, Maaz Sadaqat has been issued an NOC to take part in the 2026 Caribbean Premier League (CPL), which is scheduled to be held across the West Indies from August 7 to September 20.

The upcoming CPL season will feature seven teams for the first time. Antigua & Barbuda Falcons, Barbados Royals, Jamaica Kingsmen, Guyana Amazon Warriors, Saint Lucia Kings, St Kitts & Nevis Patriots and defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders will compete for the title.
