Bangladesh are expected to host Pakistan for a five-match ODI series in 2027, according to details emerging from the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s reported media rights tender for upcoming home international fixtures.
The tender, which reportedly covers television and digital rights for Bangladesh’s home matches in 2026 and 2027, includes a five-game ODI assignment against Pakistan as part of the board’s forward schedule.
While the full itinerary has not been officially announced yet, the reported document offers an early glimpse into Bangladesh’s planned home calendar over the next two years. If confirmed, the series will mark another major bilateral engagement between the two sides.
Pakistan last toured Bangladesh earlier this year for a white-ball and red-ball assignment. That tour began with a three-match ODI series in March before moving into a two-Test contest in May.
Bangladesh came out on top in both formats, winning the ODI series 2-1 and then sealing a 2-0 sweep in the Tests.
The reported addition of a five-match ODI series in 2027 suggests both boards are looking at a bigger limited-overs contest the next time Pakistan travel to Bangladesh. It would also give both teams a substantial ODI assignment in a format that has recently taken a back seat to T20 cricket and Test commitments.
For Pakistan, the development comes as the national side gears up for a busy stretch in the World Test Championship cycle. The team is set to leave for the West Indies on July 13 and will begin the tour with a four-day warm-up fixture on July 18.
Pakistan will then play two Tests in Trinidad and Tobago from July 25 to 29 and August 2 to 6.
After the Caribbean leg, Pakistan are due to head to England for a three-Test series. The matches are scheduled to be played at Headingley from August 19, Lord’s from August 27, and Edgbaston from September 9.
Although the Bangladesh board has not formally released the schedule, the reported tender points to another high-profile Pakistan-Bangladesh series on the horizon.
