The Punjab government has appointed new chairpersons for all nine Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISEs) across the province.
According to a notification issued by the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD), the appointments will remain effective from July 1, 2026, to December 31, 2027, under the Punjab Deputation Policy, 1998.
Dr Badar-ul-Islam has been appointed chairperson of the Lahore Board, while Prof Dr Abdul Rauf will head the Dera Ghazi Khan Board. Dr Aqsa Shabbir has been named chairperson of the Gujranwala Board.
Dr Rana Binyamin will serve as chairperson of the Faisalabad Board, and Iqbal Mahmood has been appointed to lead the Rawalpindi Board. Dr Ijaz Ahmad will head the Multan Board.
Abbas Haider has been posted as chairperson of the Sargodha Board; Ishtiaq Ahmad will lead the Bahawalpur Board, and Faisal Ijaz has been appointed chairperson of the Sahiwal Board.
The newly appointed chairpersons will also receive a special “Chairman BISE Allowance” equal to one initial basic pay of their respective pay scales.
