‘Waderai Ka Beta’ Puts CCD to Shame with Viral Skit

Popular comedian and satirist Ali Gul Pir has released a new viral skit titled “Ghareeb ka software update, Ameer kay leay jail upgrade,” taking aim at the Crime Control Department (CCD).

The satirical video opens with a severely beaten prisoner being forced to confess to the relatively minor offense of catcalling.

During the staged confession, the detainee sarcastically claims his injuries were caused after he “slipped on a banana peel” and accidentally landed on a bullet lying on the ground, while praising CCD officers for taking him to the hospital.

As the confession is being recorded, a senior CCD officer is shown more concerned about making the video go viral than the prisoner’s condition, instructing his social media team to maximize its reach online.

The skit then shifts focus to an influential suspect who receives dramatically different treatment. Officers greet him respectfully, offer him tea, provide a face mask and sunglasses to shield him from the media, and even volunteer to transport him to court in a personal air-conditioned vehicle instead of a police mobile.

Meanwhile, the poor prisoner is mocked and assaulted after simply requesting to be taken to court as well.

The high-profile criminal is dubbed ‘Mr. Mujhse Darr,” a cheeky dig aimed at Muhammad Raza Dar, the grandson of Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, who was allegedly involved in the kidnapping, gang rape, and extortion of two foreign national women

Through exaggerated humor, Ali Gul Pir criticizes the justice system where ordinary suspects are subjected to violence, public humiliation, and forced confessions, while wealthy and well-connected individuals receive preferential treatment, comfort, and legal concessions.
