TikToker Arrested for Filming Video in SHO’s Chair

Police have arrested a man for allegedly recording a TikTok video while sitting on the Station House Officer’s chair at Khurrianwala Police Station in Jaranwala.

The suspect was identified as Hassan, son of Shaukat, a resident of Rasoolpur in Faisalabad, according to police. The police did not publicly release any footage or further details about when and how the video was recorded.

A case was registered after the alleged incident came to the authorities’ attention. Khurrianwala Police Station SHO Atif Shehzad Kachhi subsequently arrested the suspect, while further legal proceedings have been initiated.

This is not the first case involving a TikTok video recorded from an SHO’s office. In July 2024, an assistant sub-inspector in Chiniot was suspended for allegedly facilitating a transgender person in recording a TikTok video while sitting on the SHO’s official chair at City Police Station.

The Chiniot district police chief also ordered an inquiry to determine responsibility. The person who recorded the video later issued an apology to the police department.
