Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has introduced a mobile customer facilitation unit called the “Sahulat Van” in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Johar neighbourhood, bringing essential gas services directly to residents’ doorsteps.
What the Sahulat Van Offers
According to a statement issued by SSGC, the Sahulat Van is designed to spare customers the trouble of visiting physical customer facilitation centres for routine complaints and service requests.
The mobile unit will handle a range of services, including complaints related to gas leakage, low pressure, and faulty meters. It will also resolve billing disputes, correct billing errors, and print duplicate bills on the spot.
Additionally, the van will provide guidance to residents on the procedure for obtaining new gas connections.
Why Gulistan-e-Johar Was Chosen
SSGC selected Gulistan-e-Johar as the launch location due to the high volume of complaints and service requests received from customers in the area, the statement noted.
The initiative marks a shift toward doorstep service delivery, aiming to reduce the burden on fixed facilitation centres while addressing consumer grievances more swiftly.
