The commissioner directed all departments to speed up construction, resolve utility shifting and other technical issues through close coordination, and complete the projects according to the approved timeline.

During his visit to the Syedpur Road water supply project, WASA Managing Director Azizullah Khan said about 70% of the work has been completed and the project is expected to finish by August 20, 2026. He said the pipeline will provide a more reliable supply of clean drinking water to residents.

The commissioner also instructed authorities to minimize excavation work during the monsoon and ensure proper safety measures, including warning signs, reflectors, lighting, and traffic management at construction sites.
