The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled the squads for the National Champions Cup, which will kick off the 2026-27 domestic cricket season from August 11 to 18 at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
The seven-match 50-over List A tournament will feature four teams, Pakistan Greens, Pakistan Whites, Pakistan Blues, and Pakistan Gold. These teams will compete in a single round-robin format. All matches will be played as day-night fixtures, with play scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM.
The top two teams at the end of the league stage will qualify for the final on August 18.
As part of a new tournament structure, the PCB has announced fixed playing XIs for each team along with a 13-player reserve pool. Teams will be required to field the announced elevens throughout the competition, with reserve players eligible to replace only injured or concussed players.
The four sides will be captained by Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan, Saim Ayub, and Sahibzada Farhan.
According to the PCB, the 44-player squads and reserve pool have been selected as part of Pakistan’s preparations for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027, with the tournament expected to play a key role in evaluating players ahead of the global event.
