The Islamabad Traffic Police have announced a traffic diversion plan for Monday due to the movement of a foreign delegation, advising commuters to allow an additional 15 to 20 minutes for travel.
According to the traffic advisory, diversions will be in place on Murree Road, Club Road, the Islamabad Expressway, Jinnah Avenue up to Khayaban Chowk, Garden Avenue, and Srinagar Highway from Chungi No. 26 to Serena Chowk.
Motorists traveling on Murree Road and the Expressway have been advised to use Srinagar Highway, IJP Road, or Ninth Avenue as alternative routes. In case of diversions on Jinnah Avenue, commuters can use Margalla Road and Seventh Avenue, while Srinagar Highway has been recommended as the alternate route for Garden Avenue.
For traffic diversions on Srinagar Highway, motorists have been advised to use IJP Road, Iran Avenue, Margalla Road, or the city’s service roads.
The Islamabad Traffic Police said personnel will remain deployed across the city to facilitate commuters during the movement of the foreign delegation. Citizens have also been advised to follow the Islamabad Police’s official social media platforms for the latest traffic updates.
