Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has inaugurated the Pink Bus service, a public transport facility introduced specifically for women and female students.
In a post on social media platform X, the chief minister said the initiative aims to provide women and students with safe and dignified daily travel. He stated that the provincial government intends to operate the Pink Bus service on a permanent basis.
Bugti added that the service will be expanded to other districts of Balochistan in the next phase to facilitate women’s access to education, employment, and healthcare.

Separately, last month, the chief minister said his government was working to provide facilities and opportunities for the public, particularly women, across various sectors.
During the same statement, Bugti said the government’s measures send a message to what he described as extremist elements. He said such elements mislead Baloch women and push them away from education and development.
