With the rising level of urbanization, everything that was inexpensive in the past has crossed the purchasing power of the middle class. Being a resident of Islamabad, I can’t deny the fact that restaurants are undeniably expensive. If you are a student, chances are that you are always low on budget.
Although Islamabad has great restaurants, the likelihood is that you can’t afford them on a daily basis being a student or being someone who doesn’t want to spend too much money on food. Don’t worry, I got your back. I, along with my team had a chance to go out and explore the 5 most affordable food places in Islamabad. We were able to shortlist the five most affordable food places.
They include:
1. Savour Pulao:
Savour Pulao is literally the king of budget-friendly food in Islamabad. Savour isn’t like any ordinary pulao, it’s literally one of the best pulaos I have had in my entire life. And do you know what the best thing about savour is? Upon request, they refill your plate with rice completely free of cost. It’s like one of the best all-you-can-eat. Savour is literally a lifesaver if you want to treat your friends on a budget. It’s located in Blue Area, Islamabad.
2. Docca Mocca:
I tried Docca Mocca back in 2019 and I was shook at how inexpensive their food items were as compared to other restaurants. Docca Mocca serves the best Panini in Islamabad and that too for less than 500 rupees. Almost all food items on the list are less than 500 with the exception of a few. Its pizza fries/loaded fries are to die for. It has the perfect amount of cheese, seasoning, sauces and flavor. A bite is enough to activate your taste buds. It is located in G-8 Markaz, Islamabad.
3. Taimuri Roll Paratha:
I have always been a huge paratha fan but it took me some time finding the perfect paratha roll in Islamabad. Taimuri Roll Paratha often known as TRP is located in F-10 markaz. It has more than 5 types of roll parathas and its behari roll paratha one of the most delicious roll paratha ever. All of the parathas are less than 200 rupees except for the jumbo roll paratha which is literally twice as big as the ordinary roll paratha. Double size means double fun.
4. Afghani Burger:
Afghani burger tastes nothing like regular burgers. They are a very different but amazing variant of regular burgers. Fries lift the whole mood when you take a bite of this burger. The best afghani burger we had so far was in G-9. It’s because actual Afghanis are making this burger and that makes everything better more authentic.
5. Quetta Tea n Teas:
Quetta Tea n Teas is the new famous chai spot in Islamabad. Located in almost every sector of Islamabad, not only does it have amazing tea but also has a bunch of affordable food options. Its malai boti (I-8 branch) is one of the best I’ve had in Islamabad.
If you haven’t tried the above 5 places, you are missing out on so much. These places aren’t only cheap, they serve amazing food too.
