Muslims across Pakistan are observing the 19th fast of the holy month of Ramadan 2022 on Thursday, 21st of April. For convenience, the Sehri and Iftar timings in different cities of Pakistan have been compiled and mentioned below.
During Ramadan, both fasting and acts of charity are obligatory for Muslims. There are several types of charity in Islam of which obligatory charity is called zakat.
Islam advises and encourages Muslims to share and distribute their wealth with the poor and needy people. Charity is not only beneficial for those who receive it but there’s a great reward for the ones who give as well. However, it should be given to attain Allah’s pleasure and forgiveness.
Charity is mentioned dozens of times in the Quran. Allah (SWT) mentions in Surah Al-Baqarah Verse 83:
Worship none but Allah; be kind to parents, relatives, orphans and the needy; speak kindly to people; establish prayer; and pay alms-tax. (2:83)
