They even broke into a seminary!

What is it with people and exotic pets? Ever imagine what would happen if they got out? Well, now you know as someone’s pet lions roam the streets of Karachi.

A bunch of pet lions escaped from their farmhouse and took over the streets of Gulshan-e-Hadeed in Karachi. It really didn’t help that there were five lions, enough for a large pride.

According to ARY News, the pet lions are actually from a farmhouse in a private housing society, Gulshan-e-Muazzam. This pride of exotic pets managed to venture out a long way from home.

It is reported that five of the lions escaped (are there more?), attacking the dogs that were guarding the place. Once they got past that barrier, they were free to go where they pleased.

The pride of lions then stormed a seminary, causing the people living there to flee in panic. Residents of the Gulshan-e-Hadeed area reached out to the Bin Qasim police and wildlife authorities.

The odd thing is why weren’t the owners of these pet lions the first to file complaints? According to Provincial Wildlife Conservator, Javed Ahmed Mehar keeping exotic pets like lions is illegal.

“Sindh Assembly has passed a law to regulate the presence of wild animals at private places, however, it is yet to be enacted,”

After an hour-long operation, the wildlife officials managed to contain the lions without any human losses.

  1. What has the guy got to hide in his farm house. It needs to be searched and found out. Must be something big, so as to have lions to guard it.
