Armeena Khan Tells Indian Trolls They Can’t Keep Her Off Twitter

India continues its agenda of suppressing voices who are exposing their ongoing violations of human rights in Indian occupied Kashmir. Pakistani actress Armeena Khan was also targeted in this social media seige, but her comeback was a ‘pie to the face‘.

India has registered complaints against thousands of Twitter users for their pro-Kashmir tweets till now. According to a local media outlet, as many as 200 Twitter accounts were suspended and thousands of others were sent notices for their pro-Kashmir tweets.

Now, India has also lodged a complaint against Pakistani-Canadian actress Armeena Khan with the social media giant for allegedly violating Indian laws.

Armeena Khan took to Twitter to call out the Indian authorities for its attempts to silence the voice of Kashmiri people.

The Sherdil actress addressed the Indians as Nazis. The actress took a dig at the Indian Government by reminding them of their decision to put a communication blackout in the valley. She further wrote that she will continue to be the voice of those that the Indian government is trying to silence.

Armeena Khan is not the only celebrity to have received a notice from the Indian Government.

Before her, the Twitter accounts of Nabeel Qureshi and Sami Khan were also taken down for pro-Kashmir posts. Just a few days ago, Twitter also sent notices to President Arif Alvi and Minister for Communication, Murad Saeed, upon India’s complaint.
