Was Sajal Aly Criticized for Shaking Off Her Bubblegum Image?

While celebs love being able to away fans’ views and vice versa, sometimes it can get really creepy. We have seen this happen a lot in Pakistan when our favorite stars endorse certain clothing styles and some fans start shaming them for it. That’s what happened to Sajal Aly recently.

We’re so used to the actress playing an innocent and naive character onscreen from Gul-e-Rana to Khuda Daikh Raha Hai, we forget that she can be a very different person in real life. Fans can go overboard with their attachment to certain television characters.

When Sajal Aly was shaking off her bubblegum image and expressing a bit of her own personality, some people even slut-shamed her. This happened when the Yaqeen Ka Safar actress posted a picture of her in knee-length frilly skirt a tube top baring a bit of midriff and a matching blazer ontop.

The actress still made the look modest with thigh-high boots only baring a sliver of skin between the boot and the hemline of the skirt.

People got to slut-shaming the actress, to the point where she had to remove the image.

Here are some relatively ‘tame’ critiques of her look.

 

Some fans just didn’t like the Sajal’s style choices. They just weren’t loving the look.

 

Others straight up slut-shammed the actress for shaking off the bubblegum image they’re used to seeing her with.

Every person has their own clothing preferences. We need to let people experiment and express themselves. Perhaps we’re so used to the O’ Rangreeza actress being typecast for so long, some folks are opposed to her shaking off her bubblegum image.
