The actor was accused of molesting children at LGS.

The Lahore Grammar School 1A1 scandal left Pakistanis in shock. Tales of teachers sexually harassing students, and the admin covering these crimes up, these things did not sit well with people. One could have thought that the culprits at the center of LGS harassment scandal, such as actor Omair Rana, who is alleged of being one of the perpetrators, could be prosecuted to the extent of the law.

The well-publicized case was covered extensively by the press. But it seems that a Pakistani detergent brand Delite did not get the memo. They recently rolled out their newest promotional campaign, which stars…. Omair Rana and a minor child actor.

For those who don’t know, Omair Rana was one of the accused in the LGS 1A1 harassment case. When the harassment stories were pouring on the internet, someone pointed out that the actor and theater director was also involved in the vile acts.

According to reports, not only was he involved in these cases but his wife Maira, who was part of the school administration, was also aware of it. She, instead of taking an action against her husband, bullied the victim and treated her poorly.

Girls of LGS 1A1 reported that the Pyar Ke Sadqay actor would make inappropriate jokes and comments towards them and make them feel uncomfortable, to say the least. He also allegedly flirted with young girls at the school and exchanged inappropriate texts.

While all of this is being exposed to the public, Pakistani brand Delite is posting advertisements on its Facebook page featuring the Sang e Mar Mar actor. And we can’t help but ask; is this how bent and questionable our moral compass is?

The harassment case is no secret, and Omair’s involvement has been mentioned more than just a couple of times. Why then are brands not taking responsibility as a productive part of society? And to involve a kid with him in their advertisement? This is definitely all kinds of wrong.

It is about time someone speaks up against these matters because enough is enough. The girls of LGS 1A1 were brave and courageous enough to speak up and share their stories. Let them be heard.

Brands like Delite need to take the responsibility of doing their due diligence and taking actions accordingly. Do you agree? Let us know in the comments section.
