Another child died in the midst of filming a TikTok video. A 13-year-old boy in Karachi was injured while making a TikTok and later succumbed to his wounds.

According to Express News, a 13-year-old boy, Salman was involved in a car accident while making a video for the video-sharing platform TikTok. It is unclear if the child made it to the hospital or died from his injuries before that.

According to police officials, the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident has been taken into police custody and shifted to the police station.

However, the child’s family has forgiven the driver and refused to press charges against him. According to the locals, 13-year-old Salman was a seventh-grade student and his parents’ only child. He used to work as a tailor after school.

TikTok at the center

Just last month police arrested a young man for endangering his life while shooting a video in Abbottabad.

The boy was hit by a train while filming a TikTok video in Haripur and he was arrested for self endangerment.

Similarly, many TikTokers have been arrested for posting videos with firearms. While in a peculiar case, some TikTokers involved in the Mazar-e-Quaid video were also taken under custody.

On the contrary, TikTokers like Baloch laborer Naseer Baloch and Jam Safdar are using the video-sharing app to connect to their audience. Another Pakistani TikToker, Aqsa Kinjhar Leela Jamali is using TikTok to promote her Sindhi culture.

It all boils down to how people use technology.
