Veteran actress Simi Raheal becomes the latest veteran to be let down by Pakistan Television Network (PTV). The Landa Bazaar actress was infuriated by the state broadcaster’s ‘honorary cheque of appreciation’.
PTV had sent Simi Raheal an honorary cheque of appreciation worth Rs. 1400. The menial amount made the Izteraab actress furious. She expected better after having given four decades of her career to PTV.
She shared a photograph of the cheque with the caption;
“This is how artists are honored by the state!!! This is the acknowledgment of Pakistan Television after 4 decades this was truly appalling!!”

Many Netizens echoed the actress’ sentiment.

Meanwhile others argued that the cheque was symbolic, and there’s no putting a monetary value on her fame.

Others brought up how PTV made Simi Raheal the starlet she is today so she shouldn’t sweat over the money.
