Guru Randhawa Discloses ‘Lagdi Lahore Di’ Is Inspired by a Lahori Model [Video]

Did you know the song is based on an actual Lahori girl?

We all love the catchy Punjabi single ‘Lagdi Lahore Di‘ by Guru Randhawa. Did you know the song is based on an actual Lahori girl?

Famed Indian singer Guru Randhawa shared that he did indeed make the song, Lagdi Lahore Di for a model from Lahore.

His friend had brought up how a model from Lahore wanted to be featured in his music video. He was in Dubai at the time, and this sparked the idea of the song.

As for the Lahori girl being featured in his music video, that couldn’t happen due to the ongoing political tensions between India and Pakistan.

Guri Randhawa isn’t one to shy away from working with Pakistani divas. The Indian singer worked with Saba Qamar for his chartbuster song Tenu Suit Suita Karda. At the time, Saba Qamar was working in Hindi Medium.

Recently the Patola singer showered praise on Sarah Khan over her looks on Instagram.

Maybe someday we’ll finally get to see the women behind Lagdi Lahore Di in a Guru Randhawa music video. Till then we can only imagine what the mystery woman is like.
