As Bollywood megastar Aamir Khan announced that he quit the biz, we are losing their cool.
News emerged on social media that Bollywood movie star, director, and producer Aamir Khan is stepping away from the massive Indian entertainment industry. In a recent interview, the Taarey Zameen Par actor revealed that he had decided to quit Bollywood.
According to the star he had decided to quit Bollywood completely during the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown. He had talked to his family about this, that is his ex-wives and children, before coming to this decision.
“I almost quit, talked about it to my family, I said that I wanted to spend time with them, I talked to my family who didn’t argue with me but urged me to try to seek balance in my life, later on, they requested me to get back.”
That’s when the host tried to clarify if the 3Idiots actor was considering leaving Bollywood in anger, to which Aamir Khan replied;
“No, I quit, … I’ve never told anyone this and you all might take a minute to understand. I told my family that I will no longer do films nor produce films. I told them that I want to spend time with you all and the response I got was them being shocked”.
This might be the end of the line for Aamir Khan fans, but the Bollywood megastar still has a movie lined up for release and another one in the making. He shared that his film is coming up after three to four years.
He said he did not announce what was on his mind earlier because the public could think that it might be a marketing tactic to promote Laal Singh Chaddha.
