We have long sought a good Pakistani horror production. Looks like Usman Mukhtar’s Gulabo Rani has that covered now. The Anaa actor released the Gulabo Rani trailer and it looks promising. It seems the full-length feature film is bound to give audiences a good scare.
Only two minutes long teases the story of a young boy being accepted into a 150-year-old university. However, he’s in for more than what he signed up for. What follows is a series of incidents that terrify the young boy. Major ‘The Exorcism of Emily Rose‘ vibes going on.
Additionally, we see a senior bullying and ridiculing the young boy due to his fear. Things take a dark turn when the boy is possessed for real.
The short film has been produced under the banner of Meiraj Haq and Usman Mukhtar’s new production house, Eastern Terrestrial Studios. While Bench writer Ali Murad penned the script.
Gulabo Rani cast some new faces. The cast includes Usama Javed Haider, Meiraj Haq, Danial Afzal, Omar Abdullah, and Natasha Ejaz in the lead roles.
The film is set to release this July.
