Badshah Begum star, Yasir Hussain is set to direct an upcoming project, and he’s featuring his own wife as the lead. In an Instagram post he announced the news with a picture of himself with his wife captioned;
“First time directing this superstar”
He added a quote from famed Bollywood rom-com Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
“Kuch kuch hota hai anjili tum nahi samjhao gi 😜
See you soon only on”
While the idea of real-life celebrity couples playing onscreen couples is exciting, the idea of them working toegther on also has a charm. What will it be like for Yasir Hussain and Iqra Aziz to collaborate in that capacity.
Other details revealed by the post include names of other artists working on the project namely, Hina Amaan, and Nysa. Meanwhile director Ehsan Shaikh, and cinematographer Asrad Khan are also working on the project.
Additionally the project will be screened on Express TV.
While Yasir Hussain is known as a comedian who often plays an antagonist onscreen, he is now directing his own works.
The number of movies and dramas to his name includes the horror comedy Peechay Tou Dekho and the biopic Chaudhry: The Martyr.
As for collaborating with his wife, they were seen together onscreen in drama serial Jhooti. Iqra Aziz was last seen on the small screen was in the 2021 hit dramas Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 and Raqeeb Se.
