After visiting Pakistan on several occasions and falling in love with the country, Australian vlogger Luke Damant is now doing what he can to help the country amid the current chaos.

As Luke Damant traveled all over the country, he did not shy away from sharing his love for Pakistani food, culture, and people. Now as all this is being eroded by a natural disaster, he donated $3,000 for flood relief. Supporting one of the rehabilitation efforts active in the country, he donated $3,000 to the humanitarian relief non-profit, Islamic Relief UK.

The YouTuber also encouraged others to contribute to the humanitarian effort in an Instagram post.

In his Instagram post, he opened up about his experience in Pakistan and how he formed a bond with the country. Asserting that looking at the country’s suffering now affcets him.

“Pakistan 🇵🇰 is a country that holds a special place in my heart. The hospitable people, incredible landscapes, and delicious cuisine are just some of the many reasons I keep coming back.

It’s a place where I have created so many memories, and shared to the world the truth. The truth that the Pakistani people are the most hospitable in this world.

It’s truly shocking to see the images and videos of the recent floods that have killed thousands and left millions without homes.”

Talking about the extent of the damages from the floods he talked about the loss of livelihood and an uncertain financial future for many, he asserted the need to help.

“Livelihoods have been destroyed, careers have been ruined and the future is uncertain for so many across the country.

With the amount of love and support I have received over the past 2 years from the Pakistani people. I owe it to the country to support and create awareness about this horrific disaster.

I have donated $3000 (GBP£1776) to Islamic Relief UK who are providing vital humanitarian aid to those that need it the most.

Inshallah Pakistan recovers from these floods and the people affected get the help that they need.”
