Model and actress, Ekra Faiz has called Hania Aamir an “overrated” actress during her appearance on the talk show Chocolate Times.
As expected, the controversial host, Ayesha Jahanzaib, probed Ekra for some juicy gossip, asking her to call out a celebrity who she thinks is not very good. Ekra didn’t shy away from sharing her honest opinion.
The Tumhari Mariam star clarified that she means no disrespect, but believes the Hania Aamir is overrated. She explained that while Hania has improved significantly over time, she initially found her acting to be somewhat immature as a viewer.
While praising Hania’s good qualities, Ekra pointed out that the young star gained popularity rapidly based on her looks. However, she also mentioned that in terms of acting, Hania’s performances at the beginning of her career were not on par with her contemporaries like Yumna Zaidi and Saba Qamar, whom she hailed as brilliant actresses.
Ekra clarified that her remarks were not meant to belittle Hania or to assert herself as a superior actress. Instead, she stressed that she was merely offering her opinion as an avid viewer.
Once again Ayesha Jahnazaib managed to stir controversy on social media, sparking criticism and petty feuds among celebrities with her negative questions. Showbiz star Imran Abbas recently called out talk show hosts such as Ayesha to stop this “toxic talk show culture” and refrain from belittling celebrities for cheap masala content.
Ekra Faiz is a model and actress, who began her career in modeling in 2010 and gained recognition after participating in the Veet Miss Super Model 2012 competition. Following her success in the modeling industry, she associated with top modeling agencies, including PR Agency and Catwalk Modeling Agency.
In addition to her modeling career, Ekra Faiz has ventured into acting and has appeared in dramas on Hum TV and ARY Digital, notably in the drama serial Tumhari Mariam alongside Junaid Khan.
