Journalist Ambreen Fatima called out actor Feroze Khan for being late to a press conference in Lahore for his upcoming boxing match against digital creator Rahim Pardesi.
The event, meant to promote the much-hyped celebrity boxing match, turned into a spectacle of its own when the Khumar star showed up more than two and a half hours late.
By the time Feroze Khan finally made his grand entrance, many mainstream outlets had already packed up and left.
However, Ambreen Fatima, a Lahore-based journalist and YouTuber, decided to call out the actor for his unprofessional behavior.
Fatima, clearly unimpressed by Khan’s tardiness, didn’t hold back. She openly criticized him for keeping the media waiting, reminding him that stardom isn’t just a product of talent or luck but also the result of media coverage and fan support. “We were told to be here at 3 PM. It’s now past 5:30, and you just decided to show up? This is not how professionals behave,” she said, her voice cutting through the room.
Feroze Khan, however, seemed unfazed by the criticism and attempted to brush it off with a nonchalant attitude. When asked why he was so late, the actor simply said: “There was no hot water in my house.”
Fatima wasn’t having it. She fired back, saying, “This isn’t a joke. You’ve wasted hours of our time. The media isn’t here to follow you around like fans. We’re here to do our jobs, and you need to respect that.”
The exchange quickly escalated, with Feroze Khan interrupting her to question the media’s role in his success. “The media didn’t make me a star. I’ve been working hard for years, and you’ve been following me because of that,” he retorted.
The confrontation, which was caught on camera, has since gone viral on social media, sparking widespread criticism of Feroze Khan’s behavior. Check it out:
“Feroze Khan’s response was not only disrespectful but also tone-deaf. The media plays a crucial role in amplifying celebrities’ work. His behavior was a slap in the face to those who’ve supported him throughout his career,” one Twitter user wrote.
