Pakistani artist and dance pioneer Sonu Dangerous has taken legal action against HUM TV and its drama Tan Man Neelo Neel. He accuses the show of defaming him and damaging his career.
In a strongly worded legal notice, Sonu has demanded that the drama be immediately removed from all platforms. He cites the unauthorized use of his name and that of his dance group, Dangerous Group.
Sonu Dangerous, a celebrated figure in Pakistan’s entertainment industry since 2000, has accused the makers of Tan Man Neelo Neel of portraying a false and misleading depiction of his character.
According to Sonu, the drama uses his name and that of Dangerous Group without his consent, painting a distorted picture of his life and career.
“This drama has been made without my permission, to defame me and damage my career,” Sonu stated. He further alleged that the show is part of a deliberate conspiracy against him, aimed at tarnishing his reputation.
Tan Man Neelo Neel is a HUM TV production, helmed by some of the biggest names in the industry, including CEO Sultana Siddiqui, Duraid Qureshi, Momina Duraid, Mahesh Wasvani, Saifi Hassan, and Mustafa Afridi.
The show is currently airing on HUM TV and its social media platforms, but its portrayal of a character named Sonu Dangerous has sparked outrage.
Sonu claims the drama’s depiction of him is completely untrue and misleading, arguing that it not only misrepresents his character but also damages his hard-earned reputation.
