Bollywood’s drama queen, Rakhi Sawant, has once again made headlines—this time for her witty response to Pakistani religious scholar Mufti Abdul Qavi’s marriage proposal.
The actress and dancer, known for her bold statements, dismissed the proposal with a humorous remark, saying that Qavi wouldn’t be able to “handle” her.
Mufti Qavi recently expressed his conditional wish to marry Rakhi Sawant during a podcast, sparking a wave of speculation. However, Rakhi wasn’t having any of it. In a chat with a private channel, she laughed off the idea, saying,
I don’t know if he has 100 wives or 900, but I alone am equal to 100,000 women. He wouldn’t be able to handle me!
The ever-dramatic Rakhi also revealed that she’s still searching for true love but hasn’t found it in India yet. “Many men chase me, but they only want to use me as a stepping stone,” she shared.
When asked about visiting Pakistan, Rakhi gave a classic Rakhi-style response: “If Modi can visit Pakistan, why can’t I? When a couple agrees, what can the Qazi do?” She also took a moment to appreciate Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, calling her a “good and decent girl.”
Meanwhile, Mufti Qavi had confidently announced that their wedding was set for February 14 and even claimed Rakhi had personally chosen the date. He further stated that after marriage, Rakhi would adopt Islamic attire, and he himself might also switch up his dressing style.
While Mufti Qavi seems to be dreaming of a Valentine’s Day wedding, Rakhi has made it clear—this proposal is nothing more than entertainment for her fans!
